Our customers are at the core of everything we do, and our Technical Sales Engineering Rotation Program will prepare you for a challenging, customer-oriented engineering career in a critical business area. Here, you can use your technical background while contributing from a business perspective. Opportunities are available in North America, Asia and Europe.
Our Technical Sales Engineering Rotation Program has been in place for more than 30 years and was the starting place for many of TI’s top leaders. This 8- to 12-month program features challenging rotations that offer exposure to the company’s entire product portfolio, business processes and access to our internal network of professionals. You will also receive personal coaching and mentoring along the way from a team of industry-leading professionals.
Program participants go through several rotation assignments to learn about TI’s products, customers and sales processes. This includes spending time in a Field Sales Office to gain exposure to the sales function and insight into how our sales team engages with other parts of the company. You will also get experience in a product marketing rotation at TI’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas to learn how we introduce new products into the market and promote our existing portfolio.
Through all of these experiences, you will learn how to build customer relationships, manage TI’s interface and strategy at a particular account or set of accounts, and understand our customers’ business and technical needs—all with the goal of being able to create compelling solutions that influence decision making and win business for TI. At the end of your program, you’ll become a team member in one of our Field Sales Offices or our Technical Marketing teams in one of our business units, where you will have responsibility for growing revenue and gaining market share with customers around the world.

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum Cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Able to effectively balance strong technical skills with solid relationship-building capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have the ability to drive for results, and a passion to win
• Must be able to collaborate, build strong, influential relationships, and effectively influence decisions
• Must be geographically flexible to work in any one of our US Field Sales Offices. Examples of sales offices include but are not limited to the San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Dallas, Tucson and Detroit
