Senior Manager, Marketing Communications Latin America

Responsible for the development of core marketing communication strategies and initiatives for the Latin America Group that meet Seiko Epson Corporation (SEC) corporate and Latin Product Marketing objectives. Oversees Public Relations, Advertising, Merchandising, Internet, and Trade Show Events to ensure consistency in marketing messages for Latin America.

Marketing Communications Strategy

-Works with the regional leadership in the development of key initiatives and strategies for meeting company objectives, including strategies for brand positioning, public relations, investor relations, crisis communications, and marketing communications

-Works with regional leadership in the development of the Latin America Internet strategy, following corporate guidelines

- Ensures marketing communications strategies are communicated, agreed upon, and adhered to by Product Management and Subsidiaries

- Ensures creative materials are developed in line with the Latin America marketing communications strategy; responsible for accuracy and consistency of all messages

- Provides key counsel on content and delivery of Executive communications

Marketing Communications Program Development:

-Works with Product Management, subsidiaries and Epson America Inc. (EAI) to develop an annual marketing communication plan (e.g., advertising, public relation, and merchandising)

-Oversees and manages the regional advertising and merchandising process for development of advertising and merchandising materials

-Conducts and participates in market research as needed to gain insights into product/brand positioning and/or to develop advertising strategy that supports product positioning

-Manages the advertising agency to ensure that all advertising is current; ensures projects are completed on-time and on budget

-Oversees merchandising inventory levels and fulfillment process to ensure appropriate levels of merchandising materials to meet Subsidiary needs

Department/Financial Management:

-Budget management of all Marketing and communication initiatives

-Works with regional leadership to develop performance objectives, assigns accountability and develops performance metrics

-Responsible for monitoring marketing activities to ensure execution according to plan and assigned budgets

-Manage media negotiations at regional level

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field required

-8+ years of internal/external marketing communications experience in a corporate setting; experience managing direct reports

-Excellent verbal communication (public speaking and media relations) writing and editing skills

-Significant experience managing communication programs in large, multi-divisional organizations

-Bilingual English/Spanish required; Portuguese helpful

-Excellent verbal communication (public speaking and media relations) writing and editing skills

-Ability to link organizational objectives to communication planning

-Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international)
