A Letter from Rony Delgarde, President and CEO of Global Paint for Charity
Friends and Family,
This Spring and Summer have been a very busy time for Global Paint for Charity. As we have continued to gain recognition for our global mission, doors have been opening at a such a rate that your support is more crucial than ever. As many of you know, I was named 2013 Allstate Champion for Good as part of the Give It Up For Good campaign. In case you missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqLMafwWqes
Since this honor, GPC and myself have been recognized in local and national news sources. It has been very humbling. I mention all of this to point out our current needs. We are now at a place where we can take off and soar. Now is the time for us to focus on our mission and each of our contributions to GPC. We are One Organization, One Team in which everyone plays a role. We cannot succeed without a team of committed individuals. As you read our current newsletter I ask that you will reflect on how you may help our mission continue on its path to changing lives and saving the world, one gallon of paint at a time.
Sincerely,
Rony S. Delgarde
Past Events
Everyone at Global Paint has been working hard to fulfill our mission. This past spring and summer have brought trips to Haiti, Honduras, El Salvador and nationwide, numerous paint drives, community service projects throughout Atlanta. We are so thankful for all of our volunteers that show up to collect paint, paint gardens, coordinate events, and all of the other unmentioned roles you each take on for Global Paint for Charity. As mentioned above, we cannot fulfill our mission without the part you do. We thank you! If you want to see pictures from these events, please check out our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/GlobalPaints/timeline
We also need to mention the additions to our organization. We have added many ambassadors around the world, as well as new partners and support staff. We are anticipating great work to come from each of our new team members.

Upcoming Events
We are excited about all of the opportunities that have been given to us. Our ambassadors are working hard around the world to line up new trips and paint projects to be a part of. Below are several of our events that you can look forward to:
- We are teaming with Personality Development Group to present a 4 hour intensive Public Speaking Workshop at Total Wine and More in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, October 11 to benefit Global Paint for Charity. Please check out http://www.personalitydevelopmentgroup.com to read testimonials and learn more. If you are interested in attending, please email Crystal at cbergfield@globalpaints.org or info@globalpaints.org. Seating is limited and all proceeds go to benefit Global Paint! Seats begin at $99. This is the best way to support Global Paint in October as well as gain confidence and knowledge in public speaking for yourself.
- This month there will be a paint project happening in collaboration with E3 Youth Ministry in Chicago, Illinois. The teens will be painting their own space with paint donated by several individuals in the Chicago area. Pictures to come!
- We are working on a 5K run in Atlanta to profit Global Paint! We are hoping that it can happen this fall. We will definitely be looking for volunteers and runners for this amazing event that will have no limits of its potential.
GPC in the News
As Rony mentioned in his letter, GPC has been everywhere in the news. We are so excited for this exposure and know that there will be more to come. Please click on links provided to read more.
Volunteers of the Quarter
While it goes without saying that our organization could not be what it is without every one of our volunteers, we want to take time to recognize two outstanding volunteers for the last quarter. Hal Barber and Bob Warren, both of Drum Worldwide, have become essential partners in Global Paint for Charity's current position. They have both played an integral part in elevating GPC and we are grateful. They answer every phone call and email, show up when needed and go beyond their call of duty to serve our great organization. They both truly live our mission to change lives and save our world. Please join us in applauding both of these remarkable volunteers for their efforts.
Hal Barber is Partner/Creative Director for Drum Worldwide, an Atlanta based creative company that believes every brand has a unique beat and that it's Drum Worldwide's job to make that brand move people.
Bob Warren is Partner/Creative Director for Atlanta-based creative company Drum Worldwide. It is is creatively led, strategically driven and media neutral results obsessed.
Current Needs
We currently have several priorities. Please take the time to read through them and reflect on where you may be able to help fill a need.
We are currently looking for a storage facility to store our paint in the Atlanta area. Beyond Atlanta, we may also need small storage containers to enable our volunteers to collect more paint. For example, in the Chicago area, we have numerous people wanting to donate. However, we are currently collecting only as we find a project that can use the paint. Having a small storage container in that area could change how we are able to collect. If you live outside of the Atlanta area and have storage contacts, please get in touch with us so we may assess the likelihood of necessity.
We would like to recruit new board members and build a culture of responsibility. We are looking to bring in leadership talent in several key areas including fundraising, global corporate relations and communications. We also need to appoint a program director and new marketing officer. If you have any contacts in these areas, please pass along our information and get in touch with us.
We can use more media attention and your continued support. Please check out the media video link posted to the left and share it on every social networking site you are a part of. We can continue to expand and become a movement with your help. We know we are worth it! Global Paint for Charity, Inc., remains a one-of-a-kind group adding color and encouragement to peoples lives. It is noteworthy that GPC knows that paint takes a huge toll on our environment and has created a movement to protect and improve the living conditions of our poor. Focusing on preserving our environment by keeping paint out of landfills and water sources has distinguished GPC as a deserving non-profit to support.
