Profile Information

about me
I am currently pursuing an LL.M. degree in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law at Fordham University School of Law and expect to graduate in May 2012. I am writing to express interest in a junior position with your firm.
Prior to attending Fordham, I did several internships, ranging from banks to law firms and energy companies. I consider that variety very positive in the fact that it allowed me to get experience and a certain amount of knowledge in very different fields that could complement each other in corporate and finance operations in which I hope to participate in the near future. This is all supported by my integral formation in law and business, which gives me a more complete vision of business from both, the legal and the economical part of transactions.
I have always intended to give myself an international background and took as many chances as I had to study abroad (particularly Business Administration in University of South Carolina), and also to work abroad (in Garrigues Shanghai) in prestigious places, resulting in the broadening of my working skills plus in the formation of my personality, much more flexible and easy to adapt to different ways of doing things and ways to communicate and reach common goals.
My decision to attend the LL.M. program at Fordham was based on my desire to broaden my knowledge of corporate law in the context of multinational transactions, as well as the specifics of Banking and Finance Law, which I believe are very important in the current economic situation, and will be vital in the future, as new financial instruments and realities develop.
I take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment such as multinationals or law firm with offices in different countries in which deadlines are critical and client expectations are high. Furthermore, after achieving my double degree in Law and Business Administration, I recognize that preparation is paramount to success; however, the ability to adapt as changes occur is equally important, and having studied and worked abroad in different environments and with different people and cultures, I am quite confident that this is one of my major skills.
