I have over 20 years’ experience in Customs and International Trade consulting from a public accounting firm perspective. I have gained my job experience in PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton. I have advised U.S. and multinational companies on customs and international trade regulatory matters involving audits, due diligences, tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin studies, IMMEX and PROSEC Programs, foreign-trade zones, drawbacks, preferential trade programs, and free trade agreements (e.g., ALADI, NAFTA, EUFTA and HS Chapter 98 provisions, etc.).
I have assisted companies in structuring their business processes and transactions considering regulatory compliance with the primary Mexican federal agencies regulating trade, including The Ministry of Treasure and The Ministry of Commerce. In this regard, I have helped numerous national and international companies identify cost savings opportunities, defended against customs audits, increased customs operational efficiencies, enhanced internal controls and reduced compliance risks.
