thank you for the invitation, I am happy to see a local in the network. I work for C&S Wholesale Services. We manage the warehouse operation for the Bi-Lo Stores. I like what you mention in you profile about the specialization in multicultural relations and I would like to hear more about it.

Hi Vanesa. Thank you for the add. This is the first time that I joined a networking that is so responding and professional oriented. Thank you so much for your consideration towards me in regards to career opportunities. I am looking forward to sharing more about everything and anything! God Bless! Marina
How wonderful that you husband is half Lebanese, you'll have beautiful children (if you don't already).
As for recipes LOL I am culinary impaired!
I have Middle Eastern restaurants close to home that make up for it. I know how to make tabule out of a box :-). My Mom is also 100% Lebanese. I am always very proud of being this "hybrid" that I am and I miss no opportunity to tell the world how my background has enriched my life and my craft. Unfortunately I suspect we have a lot of work to do in the category of acceptance. My suspicion is that the "general judgement" I got in "Design Star" (think of all my awards, publications other TV appearances compared to the rest of the applicants) has to do with the long road this country needs to walk toward the acceptance of its multicultural make up, which is, by the way, what makes America such a great nation.
This is the first time in my life I am a member of a group. I almost gave up participating with and taking advantage of the opportunities this association may offer to me.
Well, thank you for extending me an invitation; I apologize for not acknowledging before your invitation.
p.s. I do not know yet how to navigate this site.
That is too funny! Maybe we did cross paths. We moved to Grvl, SC from Boston in 2006. Both of us were laid off and I accepted a position in the DC area and Mariana got a job soon after. 14% unemployment currently in SC (I believe). We LOVE it here. So much culture and diversity. We had that in Boston but both grew lonely and frustrated in Grvl. That being said, Grvl is not as bad as the rest of SC, I just worry about the situation there. Mari worked for a company that supplied BMW and they are going under. What do you do there? What did you do here? Is your husband also working there? I have some great contacts there if you need any. Btw...we have our 3 bed 2.5 bath townhome on the market. great end unit in Mauldin. Are you looking to buy? Or have you already? We may even consider renting. Let me know and thanks gain for reaching out!
I got your name from Rob. I'm in the process of leaving the military after 9 fun years. I will be moving back to Houston within the next few weeks. I see that you have a background in Public Relations...that is a field that has always interested me. I have a Bachelors in Computer Information Systems Mgmt and am looking at pursuing my Masters in International Relations. Any information you could provide on pursuing a career in public relations would be greatly appreciated!
