Thanks for accepting my friend invite. I am in the process of moving to Oahu soon, as soon as my house rents, should be by May. My sister is married to a Hawaiian and my parents moved over there 3 years ago to live with her. Besides my children I have no family here in AZ anymore. After my father passed this past Nov and being recently divorced I found being near my family is my number one priority. As such I will be leaving my house and a good paying job to start over in HI. I keep reading and hearing that's it's who you know more than what you know to get a job there. So here I am... trying to network, network, network...
In your opinoin how is the job market there? I am a Accounting major and have worked in Helath Insurance and Financial Services. I've been applying and getting calls but as soon as they find out I am still on the mainland they don't call back. :- ( I am determined to make it there.. I'm blessed to have my family there to support me until I can get on my feet but they have a full house already. Well, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. Hope to hear from you soon!

Romero said…: Rebecca, Welcome to the islands, so do u miss New Mexico, I used to travel there often to visit with my sister and family they lived in Deming, the kids went to school at the University as well, dought that you know them, there last names were Arriola, Kimberly and Brian, Kim just finished getting here degree in Colorado, I miss the way New Mexico smells, early morning, clean and just a scent of pine, and the market in Santa Fe, could always find the best jewelery there. Bet your loving the hot sunny weather here I am. Growing up in Southern Colorado, I was always out in the sun, playing sports, or swimming as much as I could in the summers. I don't know if you've been to the big island its pretty cool, if you like it laid back and you have to find your own passion for fun, we like to hike, and swim, and read, so our down time is spent at out of the way beaches, we hike a couple times a week, easy hikes 3 to 4 miles, we used to take the dogs with us, but one of them has really turned into a tender foot on the lava, so we leave them at home, but still try to walk them on the red dirt roads around here, we live in the rain forest, green every where, coqui's at nite, and skitters. Well if you'd like to chat, drop me line, and again welcome to the islands.
