Utopia Communications Inc. Celebrates Five Years of Ethical Public Relations

Eatontown, NJ March 26,2010: Utopia Communications, Inc. was founded in 2005 on the premise that ethics could be the foundation of a profitable public relations agency. Five years later, the agency is well on its way to illustrating that ethical business practices can fuel success. With half of the public relations agencies decline of close to 20 percent in ’09 and many agencies shutting their doors, Utopia’s continued success proves that doing business honorably and ethically is its own reward.

Utopia is a new type of communications firm: an ethically focused practice that represents organizations, ideas, people and companies that enhance the human condition and operate within a strongly principled framework.

Utopia is celebrating its fifth anniversary at the top of its game. “While many other businesses are struggling to stay afloat, our numbers are up 20 percent over last year and we’ve been able to create three new jobs,” notes CEO and Founder Ann Subervi. The agency was also named a finalist for PR Agency of the Year (one of just five in the nation) by the American Business Awards and received eight prestigious awards for its work.

Subervi notes that, “Both the business world and the public relations field have seen some reprehensible behavior in recent years. Increasingly, companies are turning to their marketing and public relations partners to help them better communicate and develop socially responsible communications programs. That’s been our focus and it’s proven to be a successful one.”

What’s next for Utopia? Subervi notes that the company hopes to build upon its success and continue to raise the ethical bar within the public relations industry. The company will also launch a subsidiary in the first quarter of 2010 that will focus on the Hispanic market and raise awareness regarding the need for diversity in the public relations industry.
