Have your ever thought of a threat as an opportunity? For example, just suppose that
you lost your job. On the surface this would appear
to be a threat. I could be a threat to your family's well being, e g,
the mortgage; food; gas, etc. etc. The reason that I said that it
could appear to be a threat is because there is an alternative way
to look at it.
Maybe you have been wanting to change jobs, but you have never
had the chance to explore that option because you were always at
work. Maybe you have been wanting to start up your own business or
go back to school. Wouldn't you agree that if one were to look at
the situation from this angle it could be viewed as an opportunity?
You know there is something else that rears it proverbial ugly head
when we feel threatened. And, that is the beast known as uncertainty.
Uncertainty creeps into our lives whether we see things as an opportunity
or as a threat. When we face a perceived threat we are unsure as to what
will happen next. We sink into an abyss of discontent and fallacies.
And when we view a situation as an opportunity we face the fear of not
succeeding in the new endeavor.
The bottom line is to believe in YOU--believe that you have what you need
to succeed. Always bet on YOU - because you are the best bet. Of course
you could choose not to bet on YOU - you can choose to continue to doubt YOU.
If you choose to live your life out in a corner of delusion - then that is your
choice, There is no room to blame anyone else for you decision - no excuses -
it's all YOU. At the same time if you choose to take advantage of all of the
opportunities that come your way - success is inevitable. Your own
self-determination will catapult you towards your personal success. Do
yourself some justice - give your self some credit.
From this point forward look for the opportunities in you life - make the most
of them. Make a commitment to succeed. Continually reinforce that
commitment by taking the necessary actions. Do "What ever it takes".
