The Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education is seeking
for the 2016-2016 Student Emerging Leaders Program.
The Student Emerging Leaders Program (SELP) is designed to challenge Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) underrepresented sophomores to apply skills and knowledge gained from government coursework to solve real world public policy issues. The Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE) is in need of Professional Mentors to guide groups of students (5:1). Each group will research, develop, and prepare a final presentation outlining an innovative potential solution to a critical issue affecting Black and/or Hispanic communities.
The program culminates in a “Shark Tank” - style interactive forum, where student groups present their solutions before a panel of professional experts and the community.eaders Program (SELP).
