Rosa Navejar
As an extension of the Lideres campaign launched in June, Coors Brewing Company recently announced that it will honor Rosa Navejar, president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FWHCC), as the 2006 Coors Hispanic Leader of the Year and the FWHCC as the 2006 Coors Hispanic Non-Profit Sponsor of the Year.
Coors will spotlight Navejar's accomplishments in a print ad in Hispanic Magazine in December 2006 and in a short documentary film debuting in 2007. The FWHCC will receive a $25,000 grant to assist with the development of the Coors Hispanic Leadership Program (CHLP) -- a continuing education opportunity for the graduates of its Hispanic Leadership Development Course. This course will be used to train and place Hispanic leaders on civic boards across the greater Fort Worth community. In addition, a FWHCC representative will attend the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility/Harvard Business School Corporate Governance Program.
