Hewlett-Packard Co. is expanding its efforts to reach Hispanic consumers in Houston and other heavily Hispanic populated areas.
Looking forward to the upcoming holiday gift-buying season, HP is rolling out Spanish-language product and customer care information for consumers.
The California-based company, which has a substantial Houston manufacturing presence, has developed a Spanish-language Web site, www.hp.com/go/hpahora; a toll-free number, 800-799-6947, supported by bilingual sales representatives; and is providing Spanish-language sales materials to 200 retailers in eight states, including Texas, and Puerto Rico.
"Houston was a natural location for us to focus our outreach," said Engelina Jaspers, vice president of corporate marketing for HP Americas. "Not only does the company have a sizable presence through our more than 7,000 employees, but the city also has one of the largest Hispanic populations."
