Automation SQA Analyst

Job Description - External:
Position is in Bloomington , MN. Provide technical training, development, implementation and support of automation for functional, performance and load testing of software. Define requirements, make recommendations and implement automation software testing tools and utilities. Perform software quality assurance tasks requiring planning, scheduling, scripting, testing and reporting to ensure that developed, client provided and third party integrated software products meet requirements and design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.

Operates under general supervision. Requires four or more years of experience in engineering and/or software testing including demonstrated experience in automated testing.

Create and implement test scripts for functional, integration, performance and load testing. Including manual correlation on performance test scripts developed in HP LoadRunner

Devise strategies and tactics for the identification and implementation of software test automation including identification and documentation of requirements, enhancing manual test cases, supplemental tool selection and/or creation, implementation and support.

Establish, publish and monitor standards and guidelines for the preparation, use and support of test automation.

Identify, recommend and implement test, QA and technology process related improvements in the prequisites or results of automation.

Provide technical mentoring to QA staff related to use of test case management and automation technology.

Document and escalate defects per standard processes.

Document all Test Plans, Cases, scripts and results in standard format. Track and report metrics.

Coordinate resources related to planning, test coverage, resolving issues, documenting and analyzing results and communicating status.

Experience - External:

EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or other applicable field or equivalence
-Four + years experience in software engineering and software testing, including demonstrated experience developing and validating client facing client server and web applications
-Development, tuning and optimization experience with J2EE in n-tier enterprise systems
-Two or more years of development, architect or Agile Coaching experience
-Two or more years experience with software quality assurance processes and methodologies preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES:
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience in software testing, QA methodologies, QA process and software development lifecycle
-3+ years experience with performance test tools (HP LoadRunner, Java-bld, WebMM, netwrk)
-Advanced Visual Basic/Javascript or Groovy scripting language proficiency
-Experience with HP Quality Center 9.5 or greater required - especially the integration of HP QC and HP QTP and the use of the BPT module
-Proven expertise with Mercury/HP Loadrunner and QTP required.
-Strong and professional communication skills (written and verbal) required for interaction internally and externally
-Proficiency with SQL and relationship databases
-Experience developing custom test harnesses and test reuse frameworks in C, Java or Visual Basic
-Demonstrated ability to work in team environment including role of architect/leader/coach/trainer
-Strong problem-solving and creative engineering skills focused around increasing the quality of test coverage using function-based frameworks
