Dear Sir or Madam:
Our goal is to raise $3,000.00 for scholarships to be awarded to local nursing students in Washington, Maryland and Virginia Tri-State area. Only 2% of the over 2.4 million registered nurses in the U.S. are Hispanic and even fewer are bilingual. NAHN’s vision is to increase the numbers of nurses that can help facilitate care and meet the specific needs of our local communities; we want to make significant contributions in closing the gap of Health Disparity.
The Caribbean Breeze Restaurant, recognized as one of the region’s outstanding locales for food and entertainment, features Latin Cuisine, Caribbean Flare and Tropical Ambiance. The scholarship event will feature dinner, music, dancing, raffles and a special dance performance by the popular dance group, DC Casineros. The cost of the ticket is a very reasonable $50.00 per person with all profits going to nursing students scholarships. A cash bar and valet parking will also be available.
We sincerely hope you will be able to join us for this entertaining and worthy event. Please make checks payable to NAHN Washington DC Chapter Scholarship Fund. For questions and information please contact Ari at (301) 809-1594 or email@example.com, Mabel at (410)437-3168 or firstname.lastname@example.org and Raquel at (301)792-9263 or email@example.com. If you are not able to attend, we gratefully invite you to make a contribution to the NAHN Scholarship Fund, in support of local nursing students.
