Jorge Torres of Boulder, Colorado was third in the 10,000 at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene in 27:46.33 and will be headed to the Beijing Olympics along with Abdi Abdirahman and Galen Rupp. He entered the Trials already having the Olympic "A" standard, having run 27:42.91 in 2007. "I'm a first-generation American and my parents came here with a dream, to become American citizens and live the American dream," said Torres, whose twin brother Edwardo finished 11th. "It's just very special to have this opportunity. My brother is another great attribute to our family. I'm just glad one of us has made it to the next level and it's a great opportunity to represent the United States of America."
