In my studies to pin down the attributes which make some more succesful than others I have found there 4 that seem to come up all the time. Here are the attributes that, in my opinion, are the foundation necessary to achieve success in any endeavor:
* Integrity-Being honest with all people.
* Discipline-Applying self-control
* Stability-A supportive spouse
* Hard Work-More than most people
Of course there many more which are helpful and some might argue are…

Lifestyle Suggestions
Yes, your diet really reduce your risk of catching a cold or influenza1? Nutrition expert Lisa Hark PhD, RD2, director of the Nutrition Education and Prevention Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, certainly thinks so. Dr. Hark explained to me how diet and other smart lifestyle choices will help you to avoid the sniffles, stuffy nose and aches of the cold, as well as the outright misery of influenza.
According to Dr. Hark, food and…

Hiring an event planner will save you time and money. An event planner has an extensive list of preferred vendors they have compiled over time and have the ability to match you with vendors that offer services catering specifically to your needs.
In addition, event planners have greater purchasing power given the amount and frequency of work they provide their preferred vendors. Event planners have established reduced rates with their vendor network resulting in better rates for…

Vitamin D is vital for the absorption of calcium which, in turn, is essential for maintaining strong bones and avoiding osteoporosis. It follows that vitamin D has an important role to play in fall prevention.
Researchers at the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy have found that many older adults do not get enough of the vitamin, according to the Pulse wire report. The scientists noted that seniors tend not to get outdoors as much as younger persons, which matters since…

THE GREAT LAW
As you sow, so shall you reap. This is also known as the Law of Cause and Effect. Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us. If what we want is happiness, peace, friendship, love...Then we should BE happy, peaceful, loving, a friend. Negative energy sent out to others will come back to you 10 fold.
THE LAW OF CREATION
Life doesn't just HAPPEN, it requires our participation. We are one with the Universe both inside and out. Whatever surrounds…

There is growing criticism among some in the Latino community who feel president-elect Obama has not appointed enough Hispanics to cabinet positions. The complaints began with the choice of Hillary Clinton over Bill Richardson for Secretary of State. New Mexico’s Governor Richardson, whose mother is of Mexican descent, has considerable foreign policy experience, having served as U.N. Ambassador during the Clinton administration.
The argument over a person’s qualifications for a…

I am fascinated by why some agents do well, most do poorly and why only a few reach extraordinary heights of success.
In my studies I came across Francis Galvin, a cousin to Charles Darwin and someone who was without a doubt a true genius and scientific pioneer.
Galvin did a study of 200 of the most eminent people in history (up to late 1880s anyway) and found that most shared four common traits.
1. Power of Organization. The first trait is exactly what sets out…

This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in it's place is something you have left behind....let it be something good.
Este es el inicio de un nuevo dia. Te fue regalado para que lo uses como tu quieras. Puedes desperdiciarlo o hacer algo bueno. Lo que haces hoy es muy…

He should know, he's the 25th Richest Person in America- networth $4.7 Billion... Not bad for a guy who started with nothing and went bankrupt in 1993. Here they are:
1) Think Big - Don't get caught up in thinking incremental improvements- think to double, triple, and even quadruple your income. Who controls what you think?
2) Believe in Yourself - Trite but true. You have to believe that you have what it takes and you can get what it takes. Who controls what you believe…

(You also may answer this question on LinkedIn. I posted it on Career Management.)
I am noticing every day there is one more name added to the rolls of staffing companies and retained search firms who are “leaning out.” However, I also see many recruiters/ staffing specialists/ talent acquisition professionals who are currently employed, answering positively to questions from companies who are hiring such professionals. Here’s my rationale: it is common practice that the last one…

I was going through the website, and I found serious people with interesting views and hopefully the right connections.
I moved to Austin about a year ago after graduating top of my class from arguably one of the best colleges in Latin America (Tec de Monterrey- Guadalajara). I found the hard way that the labor market is at one of its weakest points in recent…

If you work in the real estate business then you must be aware of the decline market since the beginning of 2007. I have several friends that have left the business due to slow market. Some of the are unemployed and still looking for new adventure. As for myself I'm still hanging on waiting to see if the market gets a little better and I can actually get a paycheck. I think I can only keep doing this for a couple more months before my savings account go negative.

Those who think a government bailout of Detroit’s Big Three will save jobs should think again. This from today’s New York Times:
“G.M., the world’s largest automaker for decades, said Tuesday that it was in such dire straits that it would deeply cut jobs, factories, brands and executive pay as part of its plea to get $12 billion in federal loans and an additional $6 billion line of credit.”
Yes, Detroit’s Big Three are asking Washington once again for help. And their…
