Televisa and Univision Going to Court on License Agreement.

Grupo Televisa, (“Televisa”; NYSE:TV; BMV:TLEVISA CPO), reported that the Honorable Philip S. Gutierrez, U.S. District Judge in Los Angeles, has denied Univision’s Motion for Partial Summary Judgment. Univision sought a judgment from the Court that its claimed breaches of the long-term Program License Agreement between the two companies were not material and therefore not subject to termination by Televisa.

Multilingual Poll Finds Distrust, but also Shared Values among Minorities

Relations among African-Americans, Latinos and Asian-Americans are fraught with tension and negative stereotypes, but all three groups share core values and a desire to get along better with each other, according to a survey released Wednesday by the non-profit group New America Media.

Over Half of Hispanics Worry About Deportation

In the 2007 National Survey of Latinos, the Pew Center focuses on Hispanics’ views on the immigration debate and immigration enforcement, attitudes towards illegal immigrants, and perceptions of discrimination. According to results of the survey, just over half of all Hispanic adults in the U.S. worry that they, a family member or a close friend could be deported. Hispanic Undergraduates Applicants Needed for the 2008 Ford Motor Company Leadership Program

The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) invites Hispanic undergraduate students from across the country to apply for the 2008 Ford Motor Company CHLI Leadership Program. Applications can be downloaded from the CHLI website at http://www.chli.org. Latino Voters Take a Reverse Course

According to a new Pew Hispanic Center survey, Hispanic voters have reversed course in the past year after spending the first part of this decade loosening their historic ties to the Democratic Party. Approximately 57% of Hispanic registered voters now call themselves Democrats while 23% side with the Republican Party. This 34 percentage point gap has increased since July of 2006 when the same gap was just 21 percentage points.
