More and more Corporate America is realizing that they need qualified bilingual-bicultural cadidates with the sophistication to handle business affairs in English and Spanish.

New Officers

The recent elected officers at the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers are:
National Chair: Jeffrey Vargas , HEPM, US Dept. of Energy
First Vice Chair: J. Carlos Manduley , PhD, National HEPM, US FAA, Office of Civil Rights.
Mr. Manduley was also recently honored by th U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta with a Secretary´s Excellence Award for contributing and supporting the Hispanic Employment Program at the FAA.

Ernest Quintana

Ernest "Ernie" Quintana is now the first Hispanic regional director in the NPS (National Park Service).
Mr. Quintana is also a recipient of the Stephen Tyng Mather Award for Conservation and the Director´s Wilderness Management and Stewardship Award.
