I started my professional career helping my family to run our business. We had a clothing line production. My family’s business started in a small room but, soon its production triplicates and we moved to a bigger facility and we hired more employees. My father, a straightforward boss, gave me examples and knowledge on how to run a small business. He showed me how important honesty, loyalty, and professionalism are when running a business and it helped me to grow professionally.
My interest in traveling and my curiosity to know different cultures made me to take a break from my family business. I lived and traveled in Europe by myself for one year. The experience of living abroad, as Au Pair in Germany, gave me the strength to grow as a person. In addition, I had the opportunity to learn other languages like Spanish and German, which helped me to improve my languages skills.
I moved back to Brazil and graduated from Hotel Management. I worked at Caesar Park Hotel in Rio for two years. The experience of working with professionals of the hospitality industry helped me to improve and understand the mechanics of the hotel industry. The importance of the customers as the primary goal of the business and the quality of the services offered were crucial during my time working for the hotel.
