Profile Information

about me
Dominicana! I love my culture! Love my heritage!

Extremely driven individual, with strong analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills. I believe in the importance of a strong work ethic and education. My personal interests have always included the advancement of the Hispanic community in the United States, specifically related to children and young adults. This passion for wanting to see change amongst members of my own community was my foundation for pursing an education in Social Work--this foundation taught me the importance of advocacy and a thing or two about being the "...change in the world you want to see"...

Concentration: Social Enterprise/Administration
Skills:
-HR Management and Supervision

-Program Evaluation
-Superior Case Management Skills

Bachelor in Social Work, Ramapo College of New Jersey '07

Overall, I am deeply interested in a career path that will allow me to execute my excellent administrative and management skills. My education, training, and previous work experience will allow me to practice these skills in a wide range of settings (i.e., public, private, or non-profit sector, higher education, corporate field, etc.). I have an extensive set of "people" skills combined with a high level of emotional intelligence, that is an asset at any institution practicing diversity and inclusiveness.

Hi Vanessa:
I would greatly appreciate any feedback or recommendations you have, especially since you have a interest or expertise in this area. I have just lunched a website, www.Informeddecisionsnyc.com, about a new consultation business. We are looking to connect; Community business owners, community organizations, schools, & youth in order to decrease the educational gap and improve our communities. Please take a minute to check out the website or the forum discussion. Thank you for all your help.

Greetings Compatriota! It's great to see other Latinas who believe in change. And you are right in quoting Gandhi: "we must be the change we wish to see" in the world. I believe that each one should teach one and that change happens one step at a time. It makes me proud to see other women who are inspiring, educated and talented. You have the right attitude. Keep it up!

Hello Vanessa.

Welcome to the NSHP networking site. Glad you decided to come to the New York City job fair as well. My team already has over 40 companies exhibiting and a few more to come so it should be a terrific career event. I hope you're able to find your ideal job and meet many great people.

Reading your profile, you seem to be a very outgoing person, so I hope that you are also able to find other smart people to network with on this site, as I have. Hope to meet you at the job fair.

Rob
