Profile Information

about me
I recently graduated GWU with a dual degree in International Business and Marketing. I am a clear thinker; a passionate, and dedicated young professional who is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with intermediate French knowledge. I am looking for opportunities in international business development, particularly related to Brazil, where I am from.

Throughout my college career, I worked for the Brazil – U.S. Business Council at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where I was exposed to challenges in advancing our member companies’ trade and investment agendas and contributed to the writing of a white paper on behalf of the Council’s infrastructure task force. I was responsible for conducting research on sectoral trends, analyzing legislative bottlenecks, translating official Brazilian government press releases, among other clerical activities in support of the Council’s operations. My experience with the Council sparked a personal interest on the importance of infrastructure development in emerging markets. My capstone project at GWU, which was published by the Center for Latin American Issues (http://www.gwu.edu/~clai/working_papers/index.htm), focused on Brazil's infrastructure projects and legislative bottlenecks that impede international investment in the country. These and other experiences have challenged my intellect and have allowed me to develop an analytical eye while working with teams under high – pressure environments.
