Sonny Melendrez is a broadcaster, motivational speaker, voice artist, and author of "The Art of Living With Enthusiasm!", who has dedicated his life to making people happy.
He has hosted numerous TV programs including the Disney Channel’s, “You And Me, Kid,” and has provided the voices for countless cartoon animations.
He has been heard on some of America’s great radio stations, including KIIS, KMPC, and KFI in Los Angeles and hosted morning drive shows on KTSA, KTFM, KSMG, KLUP, and KAHL in San Antonio.
Sonny was recently inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, is included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as one of “The Top 100 Radio Personalities of All-Time,” and received a Grammy nomination for creating the children’s version of “We Are The World” in 1985.
As a motivational speaker and master of ceremonies, he has delivered the keynote address and mastered the ceremonies at over 5,000 events, including The White House Hispanic Heritage Awards and the USO World Gala in Paris, France.
The City of San Antonio named the Sonny Melendrez Community Center on the city’s West Side to honor his tireless commitment to youth and the community.
Corporations, organizations, universities and schools benefit from his motivational presentations designed to inspire those in attendance to reach their full potential.

Sonny Melendrez is a proud of his Hispanic heritage and has received many accolades for his tireless efforts in giving back to the world.

He is the first Hispanic to be inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. Ricardo Montalban presented him with the Golden Eagle Award as the Hispanic Radio Personality of the Year. As a master producer, he mastered the ceremonies at the White House Hispanic Heritage Awards (7 times) and is recipient of the Ford Hispanic Heritage Award. In addition, Melendrez received the La Prensa Media Award for creating and promoting projects benefiting underprivileged Hispanic families and children.
