about me

My name is Rosa Vela and I am originally from Peru. I graduated as master in Finance at Suffolk University in December 2008. I gained valuable finance experience as a teaching assistant in the University Finance Department.
Prior to coming to the USA, I was working with Intellity Consulting (Peru) as senior international consultant, assisting local and foreign companies in business process improvement, risk management, internal auditing, financial reporting controls, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) reviews. I also worked as audit assistant with Deloitte (Peru) performing financial audits.
I am ALPFA board member in the Boston chapter and project leader with Boston Cares, since February 2008. I love going to the theater and concerts and I live in Quincy, MA.
