Hello Perseu,

I used to DJ a while back but mostly private events, not really that much into dj'ing at local clubs. If you are in South Beach, your best bet is to try to visit multiple locations and offer your services. If you have a demo cd, it would help a lot if you brought multiple copies to different locations. I would start in small venues, then slowly work yourself up. South Beach is a tough market to enter, there is a lot of talent, but if you have the will you can try it. I would also try other areas, not just South Beach as the competition is tough, particularly in the beginning. Try downtown/Brickell area venues, also Fort Lauderdale and even Aventura and Hollywood area. The important thing is to start somewhere.

I would also try to contact The Womb, a live online stream and try to play there to get some exposure ( http://www.thewomb.com ).

Good luck, let me know how it goes.

Ask Ricardo for some DJ information, locally here in Miami. He may have none but who knows. Ivete can give you his contact info.
