well, AIG both 21st Century as you may already know, AIG basically took many bebefits and gave us more work. My specialty is in auto, I had to determine liability, we handled comparative in California, don't know about other states. Bilingual Spanish of course, handled many dui and unlicensed drivers, unfortunately. But typically I would settled BI, property damage, comp and coll., I liked it, liked to gather all info and determine liability, not a science but more of an educated determination. Very rarely my decision was overturned. I don't mind learning other areas, such as property damage. Let me know if you can hook me up. Take care. Patricia
I heard from a "headhunter" that AIG is a good company but that they work you to death. Of course, now that the Government has taken over, who knows what will happen to that company.
I was a Staff Adj with Allstate. (Ed Liddy CEO of AIG was a former CEO of Allstate, small world). Nice coworkers but the salary was too low. I am a Property Adjuster and found an Independent Adjusting Firm 5 yrs ago based out of Lakewood, CO and have been a "Cat Adjuster" ever since.
What is your speciality? What are your goals? Not trying to be nosy but I know people on the Staff and Independent sides of the Claims world. Maybe I can help.
Nice to see other Claims Adjusters out there! Are you in Auto? Property? BI? I'm an Independent but was former Staff. I know how stressful it can be. Hope that all is well in Saratoga!
