Profile Information

about me
ORLEY JOSE PACHECO is a New York City native and an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran who served with the United States Marine Corps. Prior to enlisting, Mr. Pacheco explored business career options in the corporate sector as an analyst with Goldman Sachs. As a Marine Corps Recruit, Pacheco reported to Parris Island, South Carolina for an intense training matrix where he learned the Core Values of “Honor, Courage, and Commitment" and earned his Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. Orley was then stationed at Pensacola, Florida and enrolled in Naval Aviation Electrical Engineering prior to being stationed in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune's aviation site at New River. Here, Mr. Pacheco worked with CH-46E “Battle Phrog” helicopters as a member of the Black Knight’s Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 264. Orley's squadron participated in Combined Joint Task Force – Haiti/ 8. Mr. Pacheco was deployed to Iraq and stationed at Al Asad Airfield, in addition, Orley has served as liaison with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program and the Community Outreach Programs with various Fortune 500 Companies, knowing that one day he would come back to where he had started in the Corporate Sector. On one of his newest ventures- Orley has become a leader in the Diversity Community. Mr. Pacheco plays an instrumental part of The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting’s New York Chapter. He sits on two committees and is an active member of the New Jersey Chapter as well. Orley serves on several non- profit boards that vary from his time with the military, diversity and inclusion, as well as education. Mr. Pacheco is one of the newest members of the Business Advisory Council at Murry Bergtraum High School where giving back to those in the underserved, under-represented communities is a “top priority”. As a young professional, Orley has challenged many of his peers from across top firms to become involved, give back to the community, and empower today’s youth. Mr. Pacheco and other Student Veterans were instrumental in establishing the Military Veterans Club at Borough of Manhattan Community College where he continues to be very involved with "bringing the Veterans back to education" throughout CUNY. “I impact peoples’ lives daily, at work- with my clients to help them grow and protect their wealth, with my family for a better future, all the great people that I have met, and most importantly with multitudes of inner cities’ diverse youth”

Pacheco,

Good morning, hope to find you doing well and in good health. Wanted
to share that my nephew John Reyes, Jr. just graduated in Sept. receiving
his wings, United States Air Force, and a Capt. flying fighter jets. We're
so proud of him - he's a young 30 something and doing well for himself and
his new bride and stepson. They currently live in Tennessee but moving
to Arizona shortly. Also, I'm a board member with 9/11 Help America Foundation an organization dedicated to provide financial support to our wounded troops returning from combat. Please look us up online and
provide feedback, and please share this information with other personnel
and their families. God Bless you and your family - Angie

Jose,

Thank you for your response - was it beat up? Actually I was curious to see the full picture of the officer and gentleman.
Much better! Smile :)
Which branch of service, Army? My nephew just received his
wings on September 4th (Capt. John P. Reyes, Jr.) stationed
in TN. His story is remarkable as I'm sure you have one also?
