- I am an HR consultant and have a long list of clients with maquilas, and service centers in Mexico. Most of my clients are in the Tijuana, Calexico coridor. To date (keep our fingers crossed), we have had no problems with what is going on in the area. The violence is not taking place near work or int he cities. From what I see and read, it is targeted to law enforcement or their competition. I know a lot of people that commute both directions. There does not seem to be any fear with business people who have nothing to do with the drug trade.
This is my experience and maybe someone else has something to add.
