- Amidst a very busy schedule, I cultivate time to birth my poetic rhymes and nurture my talents as an abstract artist. Although I'm an academic by training, I'm an artist by virtue of being alive...lo traigo dentro, me da razon para vivir!
I hold baccalaureate degrees in comparative literature, Chicana/Chicano studies, and education; master's degree in race and ethnic studies in education, and recently received my doctorate degree in education - all from UCLA. Thus, I'm on the "job market" with plans to obtain a research specialist or faculty position in southern California.
