about me
By engaging Hispanic consumer’s in-market, organizations gain critical insight into the culturally relevant nuances that make communications truly effective. This insight enables brands and causes to create a market advantage by tipping sentiment their way. I founded Diálogo PR to help organizations move beyond monologue, to dialogue with their Hispanic stakeholders.

Our service focuses on the interaction between brand and consumer, and the conversational value that results. As a blogger and advocate of the in-market public relations method, I am passionate about employing relevance to effectively communicate with the diverse Hispanic audiences. Imagine the impact marketers will have, and the Hispanic consumer’s response, when the monologue turns to dialogue.

Buena suerte y hasta pronto!

By: Lucia Matthews and Alice Gomez, Diálogo PR, San Diego, CA

Reaching New Generational Latinos

50% of all U.S. Hispanic are under 26 years of age. And with over 25 million Hispanics wired, online retailers are following under-30s Hispanic consumers to social sites like Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. “New Generational Latinos” (NGL) participate in Internet activities more than any younger generation, and this influences their online spending habits. Follow these rules to reach NGL’s and get them to take action.

Communicate Relevantly

NGL's are acculturated, outspoken, they spend,… Continue

Hispanics Assimilate Not Acculturate

The marketing lingo that describes how U.S. Hispanics fit into society is characterized as acculturation. That is, we Hispanics hold on to our native cultural persona, using only bits and pieces of American cultural attributes; and that Hispanics identify to their native country more than their adopted one.

Acculturation, while categorizing the level of English used also delineates the level of societal involvement as not-, somewhat-, mostly-, and fully-acculturated. Acculturation is defined as… Continue

Despite Our Economy Or Maybe Because Of It The 2009 National Small Business Week Was A Smashing Success

With over two million Hispanic owned businesses in the U.S., Hispanics play a major role in the American business landscape and on the economy.

The 2009 National Small Business Week annual event, held in Washington, early last week, focused on the role of small companies in our ailing economy. With over two million Hispanic owned businesses in the U.S., Hispanics play a major role in the American business landscape and on the economy.
