As Special Assistant to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) was directly responsible for establishing and implementing programs and procedures that foster and increase small business participation in DOE’s prime and subcontracting efforts.

A small business advocate for the past 25 years, Lee has had the unique experience of being on both sides of the federal contracting table. She honed her skills at the U.S. Small Business Administration; where she first worked for the Administrator and later moved to the program offices. Her areas of expertise included the business development programs including 8(a) and the Surety Bond Guarantee Program. She has worked for various small businesses contracting to the federal government and has been an independent small business consultant.
