Joseph Rio is a Dominican-born lawyer with nearly 20 years of experience in international development consulting, U.S. government contracting and multilateral financial institutions. His practice focuses on business development, program design, and marketing, recruitment and talent management, corporate communication and public relations, and other business information systems design and implementation.
As a principal of Sanchez + Polanco, LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based small, minority-owned business, he devotes part of his work on professional and success coaching. Mr. Rio continues to serve as deputy rule of law officer for the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law and is a mediator and a professional and success coach.
He received an undergraduate degree from Columbia College in the City of New York and holds Juris Doctor and graduate degrees from Georgetown University
