Profile Information

about me
Recently retired, after 30 years of service with a HMO on the mainland. Moved here July 2008, my partner and our two dogs. I had visited Hawaii several times, and decided this is where I wanted to live for my next 50 years, and my second career.

Well I did it I am my own boss check out my site listed below.

It has been a year since we arrived here on the big island, love all the hiking I can do, hanging out at the beach with my dogs, and how dark you become from just everyday things my skin feels great!

Still haven't made any friends, but joined a church and getting to know some people, still running every monring, and trying to exercise as well.

Will write more as things happen, also looking at a move to the Waikoloa area, a little to wet for my liking on this side of the big island.

No they have not, thanks for asking! After my run this morning I hit the job sites online again. I don't really know if those sites really work or not. Next week I'm planning to spend several days at the work force center. Hang around maybe someone will walk in looking for someone with my qualification's? I also contacted customers on the mainland who have purchased my paintings hoping to sell a few, so Christmas won't be so bleak. It would been nice to have some extra money pay more rent. I'm holding off from using my credit cards. Hilo right now is really depressed, wrong time for us to have made the move. I look at everything I do as a learning experience, and I will over come this one. This site has become a source that I needed in my life, being 50 and re-entering the job market has been a challenge, this site has help me to understand I'm not the only Mexican looking for work or person who is unemployed. I've received many gifts on here in kind words from several strangers. Thanks for wanting to be friends, its my bed time I get 9 hrs a sleep daily, with my diet, it helps the muscles grow. I'm working on adding an extra mile to my run, I hope to be in better shape financially, and physically to attend the Honolulu Marathon next year. Thanks and talk to you soon.
