My fourteen years of experience in the field of higher education has afforded me the opportunities to lead at prestigious universities and at IIE that have focused on international student recruitment; scholarship selection and management; program outreach; partnerships and collaborations; and program (degree and non-degree) development with faculty.
what languages do you speak?
English and Spanish
what countries have you lived in?
I have lived extended periods of time in Spain and Ireland, which have provided me with key understandings of cultures and what it means to live and study abroad.
what's your Hispanic connection?
While representing the Admissions and Recruitment division for Graduate Business Programs at the University of Miami, I regularly promoted in Spanish the Master of Science in Professional Management (MSPM) to Latin American executives and working professionals throughout South and Central America, the Caribbean and the U.S. This program is taught and delivered entirely in Spanish to seasoned executives and working professionals. While conducting this outreach, I met with hundreds of companies and professional organizations to promote the program to their employees to attend academic sessions five times a year in two-week modules. This one year commitment required not only the blessing of the company but in most cases financial support for the employee. The MSPM program generated over $1MM in annual revenue for the School of Business.
