This is a great post. People need to have a strategy, especially in today's economy. The one thing I will add is that while these are good guidelines each and every person needs to develop their own specific strategy for networking. For instance...

Profile Information

about me
I am a young entrepreneur who began a very informal career while I was still in school. I started my first business at 17. It began as a favor for a family friend, offering to help paint his summer home before he sold it. I worked with another painter on that job, and with the skills I learned I was able to start my first business. And that was the beginning. Since then I have worked to build businesses and products that will help change peoples lives for the better. I, with my business partner and college roommate, started the first of these companies right after college. SpartX came along a few years after and is a company that will help people network, which is important for their careers and everyday lives.

The business card, regardless of what its name implies, is less about the business and more about the individual who carries it. Setting aside the fact that the business card of today does little more than announce the person bearing the card, it is a way for the carri… Continue

It’s NOT a secret, or it SHOULDN’T be

Many people ask, “How do they do it?” They are not asking how to put together that pesky television stand. No, rather they are asking how wealthy and successful people manage to become wealthy and successful.

While many people who have built wealth and are successful most certainly ran into luck along the way, their positions in life are not because the gods of fate have smiled down upon them. Most certainly not. In fact, it is not even a secret, or it shouldn’t be.

One of the things these ind… Continue
