Carlos Sanchez was born in Caracas - Venezuela, where he grew up and spent great part of his life.
Obtaining a degree in Computer Science, he worked for financial institutions, Venezuela’s government oil companies and for Information Technology corporations. His different positions took him to handle responsibilities in the area of international trade, what impulse him to reside in Florida - USA since 1992; working for both, an I.T. and a service company he owned.
The obtained experiences living with the Latin Community of South Florida, along with his ample knowledge of the Hispanic culture and a his high human sensitivity, developed an interest of collaboration and communication of a subject, until then not very common for this minority, the health care education in their own language. It is when in 2004 SALUD al dia magazine was born.
SALUD al dia magazine is a fully SPANISH life style health magazine that offers hard-hitting, current and authoritative medical news with individual perspectives for our Hispanic readership. Written by medical doctors and health professionals, the articles cover the latest trends in new treatments, prevention, nutrition, fitness plus departments directed to women`s health, men`s health, children, teen and the aging.
Keeping a close relationship with Hospitals, Universities, Doctors, Foundations, Healthcare Professionals, USA Government Healthcare Institutions, Pharmacological Laboratories, Health Insurance and Medical Discount Programs providers, helped him to become a channel of diffusion of these organizations for the Hispanic community in general.
Along his career promoting wellness and disease prevention, the philanthropic aspect of his dedication immediately arises. SALUD al dia magazine always has been close to some public and private organizations promoting their health services, organizing health events to create awareness and delivering basic health services to the underserved and low income population.
