I am a proven professional with experience in the private and public sectors in the U.S. and overseas. As the bilingual content manager for Gobiernousa.gov, the U.S. government's official web portal in Spanish, I ensured federal government information and services on the Internet. Prior to my position at Gobiernousa.gov, I worked as a project manager/consultant for the Organization of American States (OAS) managing and coordinating projects in Latin America and the Caribbean with UNICEF and IADB. My leadership resulted in raising nearly $2M from international governments to execute projects to protect children in Latin America and guided policy to Latin American governments to strengthen national child protection systems. From 2002 to 2006, I worked as a public relations specialist at AMIB at the Mexican Stock Exchange where I was responsible for the development and implementation of public relations strategies, lobby for associated financial institutions on the securities market, position the corporate image, as well as manage all aspects of strategic communications.
In addition, I am a CONACYT fellow and I recently graduated from American University with a Master's Degree in Public Communication. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the Universidad de las Americas-Puebla in Mexico where I graduated with honors. I am tri-lingual speaking English, Spanish, and French.
I am seeking a challenging position where I can realize my vision and passion leading projects related to international social development where I can be responsible for strategic communication, program planning, and implementation while providing creative and critical solutions. I currently reside in Alexandria, VA with my husband.
