I offer considerable research, reporting and writing skills honed during 35 years as a general assignment journalist, freelance writer and consultant. I am a quick study as I have covered a variety of unrelated and sometimes very technical fields, including developments in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. I grew up in Puerto Rico and I speak Spanish. Between 1996 and 2000, I was privileged to work as a consultant to the commonwealth’s Resident Commissioner, Puerto Rico’s sole, non-voting representative to the U.S. Congress.
