Most of the "data" used is OK, but remember, there is a "very" inexpensive way to be healthy, that is build it into your life style! At a time when many are having financial challenges, the last thing we need is another fad costing us millions! This site is about "health balance" not a site for selling more fads! Namaste

Way to be smart Michelle! The inches you lost is "great"! Take you time, make it just another part of your life, cause it is! Use visualization during this time and imagine yourself working out, running, whatever sport you do, just watch, enjoy, feel good about the thought! So nice>>>>>>>

Ed thanks so much for the input. I have lost 3 inches off my waist and 2 inches off my hips which was what was really bugging me. I'm still very sick and resting. Hopefully in a week I'll be good and back to exercising.

Lucelia - "REST" is critical from many standpoints, most importantly for your body to recover from the cold. Resting between workouts is also very critical for muscle repair. You have done very well in losing so much weight, but dont forget its better to measure your results by clothing size or measuring key body parts (arms, abs, hips, chest/back, thigh). Remember muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be gaining muscle and lose fat, yet not drop in body weight. Rest, meditate, read, relax, drink fluids, smile!

I was on a diet and working out 3-4 times a week. I have already lost 12 of the 20 lbs. that i wanted to. My goal deadline was June 1st. It's so close that I really want to keep working out but I have come down the a terrible cold. Everyone keeps telling me I gotta rest but would exercising hinder my recoup or could it actually help me sweat it out? Any ideas?

Yes, I have been resting. So no more running for me right now. I'm training for a marathong in April. I started to feel a little discomfort around a month ago now under my arch. No biggie I thought because I figured it was just a running pain. But it got bad last week after a 10 mile run and that's when I decided to see someone b/c I'm too close to my marathong which is April 11th. I run 2x a week 3 miles and a long run on Saturdays. I've done up to 16 miles already and am not yet comfortable with that but I am with a 10 miler. I do crossfit about 4x a week as well and yoga when I remember! Ha! thanks.

Cool, REST is CRITICAL! Can you also provide me more details? How long have you had this, how active are you, what kind of exercise do you do, etc.....?
