oops sorry for mispelling your name

: ) Yes, Jacquline, I did notice. I wondered that too. My family is originally from the State of Jalisco near Guadalajara.

What I always tell people is... you never know since Ponce did alot of traveling ..... so who knows... we may be related : )

I am sorry to hear about the reduction in hours; the positive part is that you will be able to study for the PHR. I have been job hunting as well and have noticed that the majority companies are asking for either PHR or SPHR certification. Best of luck to you and everyone else taking the test!

Lydia, thank you for sharing your experience with me. I will have time to focus since my current employer is reducing my hours at work because of the lack of budget. It will give me time to focus on the test. BTW doea anyone have or know of anyone looking to hire and experience HR professional. I ave 15 years of experience and knowledge under my belt . Please let me know, many thanks.. Lydida, did you notice we have the same last name.....I'm wondering if we are related.

Hello everyone.

In response to Jacqueline's inquiry regarding the PHR test, my recommendation is to have dedicated study time with minimal distractions both from a work perspective as well as a personal one.

On two different occassions, two of my managers and myself took the SPHR and due to the intense and heavy workload and long hours of work, we were not able to focus completely on our studying whic, needless to say, impacted the outcome of our tests : (

I wish you the very best. Good luck on your test!

Hi my name is Sonia J,a divorced mom of three teens in NYC, and though I dont have a masters in HR many people confuse my degree for this one which is MscHS, (Human Services). I would like to be part of this group because though there is difference they still have a strong bond and I could affiliate and learn with what is being said in this group as well as give input in what I know.

I am going for the PHR - registration deadlines are closing soon if you want to register. I am taking the test in May. I am looking into sutdy guides and have about 1 month to study. I hear it is intensive. Anyone els has had any experience in obtaining any certification is HR?
