Hispanic Achieving Careers & Higher Education is a nationwide social enterprise that empowers members of the Hispanic community. We are able to reach the Hispanic communities across major metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Chicago, and New York City.

HACHE was developed to provide communication channels connecting Hispanic individuals with opportunities. We are dedicated to providing education, career, and professional development resources to members of the Hispanic community.

We work with corporations, organizations, educational institutions, and governmental agencies to attract, recruit and retain qualified Hispanic individuals as employee in the United States and abroad. At the same time, we partner with those employers to increase pipelines by helping individuals obtain resources to complete high school, consider colleges and universities, and provide necessary skills for post college success.

It’s amazing to me….for every company wondering where the educated Hispanic professionals are, there is a Hispanic professional wondering where the jobs are….and where the mentors are too!

I’m one of a very small handful of Latinas who are proud to be military officers and veterans. I’m a former Air Force aviator. I also have an Masters degree in International Management and nine years of experience as a global marketing manager for a top global vendor of communications software and services. Yet, in all that time, I have NEVER met another Latina who could act as a mentor to me…they just haven’t existed in places I’ve worked.

So I’ve instead decided to become a mentor to other younger Latinas. I’ll be attending the Ph.D. Project conference in Chicago this month, hoping that there (maybe, just maybe) I’ll find someone that will look like me and provide me the one thing that’s been missing all these years…..mentoring.
