NSHP "DFW" End of Summer RECAP coming soon!

The National Society of Hispanic Professionals-"DFW" overall goal is to facilitate networking and provide resources for professional development while enjoying social interaction at event's and activities throughout Dallas/Fort Worth The NSHP-DFW periodic networking event's are designed for flexibility and allow attendees to come straight from work to relish drink special's, or come later to enjoy dinner while networking with friends, and new attendees. NSHP- DFW strives to provide diverse, dynamic venue’s conducive for encouraging meaningful connection’s while sustaining a solid membership base and enticing new participants.

We welcome all to look into joining NSHP “DFW” Chapter as a free tool to facilitate networking opportunities with DFW Latino professionals in an active, ongoing and dynamic manner.

Building relationships is essential for both the professional and personal realms. Whether it's finding prospective clients, gaining exposure for your business, exploring career options or just making new friends, networking is essential. By setting up an NSHP profile and joining "DFW" group one has a tool for facilitating interactions with professionals throughout Dallas/Fort Worth. One may make contact with fellow professionals through a secure venue even though one may not have their business card or even a complete name.

Please stay tuned for listings and invites for future activities where our "DFW" member's and area professional group's and association's may be networking! All business associate's, friends, or anyone else who may enjoy professional "social networking" while sharing a few laughs are welcome to attend any of our event's!

I just signed in Lat Pro and I think is a good alternative to know more about the latin people in this area. I am interested in the job fair in Dallas next October 22. I definetily need to find a better jo.

No se olviden La Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Carrollton/Farmers Branch (CFBHCC) los invita al primero de una serie de foros el 19 de septiembre del 2009 a realizarse en el centro de recreación de Farmers Branch localizado en el 14050 Heartside Place y Valwood Pkwy, Farmers, Branch, Texas 75234 de 9:00 a.m. y hasta las 12:00 del medio día.

Executive Director, Human Resources (Position No. 040909079) $57,644-$100,877 Salary Range. EFC Human Resources Department. Responsible for the overall planning, directing, monitoring, and coordinating college based activity in human resources. Serves as a liaison with District human resources and payroll offices. Supervises location payroll, employment and benefit functions and ensures accurate and timely processing. Serves as the Affirmative Action Officer and the Sexual Harassment Officer for the location. Responsible for the integrity of the college human resources programs. Plans, develops, and implements timelines and procedures for college-wide human resources/payroll functions including benefits, job evaluations, performance evaluations and special employment agreements. Serves as the senior Human Resources advisor to location executive council. Responsible for implementing policies and procedures as determined by the DCCCD Board of Trustees and the rules, regulations and laws of state and federal agencies as they relate to the assigned area. Coordinates employment process by reviewing applications, training search committees and serving as primary resource. Facilitates the search committee process. Provides oversight and guidance in monitoring payroll activities to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations. Reviews procedures and recommends processes within federal and state law, Board policy and Business Procedures Manual parameters. May assist chief financial officer with the development and maintenance of college budgets. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all full-time/part-time employees and other contractual staff members assigned to area. Works with other district administrators to ensure coordination of college-wide efforts to meet the goals of the district. Assists location executive staff and district staff on strategic planning of the college/district. May perform research to coordinate services and products beneficial to processing and provides forward thinking strategies to benefit employees. Facilitates problem solving for appropriate college personnel. Serves as mediator and recommends alternative solutions. Actively participates in district committees and/or councils abreast of human resources issues or activities. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Public Administration or related field plus four years of experience in managing human resources functions, including supervision and payroll or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration or related field plus six years of experience in managing human resources functions, including supervision and payroll or Associate’s degree in human resources, public administration or related field plus eight years of experience in managing human resources function, including supervision and payroll or Graduation from high school or equivalent plus ten years of managing human resource functions of which two years are from a community college environment, including supervision and payroll. Requires knowledge of a variety of legal regulations which impact human resources areas. Requires knowledge of computer applications supportive of human resources activities in a multi-unit organization. Ability to develop and implement methods and procedures for improving and facilitating personnel processes as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with the college community and general public. Requires demonstrated oral and written communication skills to interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Official transcripts required.
