HISPANIC CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND LOCAL EXECUTIVES LAUNCH A COMMUNITY COLLEGE PROGRAM IN IRVING.
It is designed to help thousands of Hispanic immigrants who finished High School.

Irving,Texas, September 16, 2009 – Top marketing executives have joined forces with Hispanic chambers from the cities of Arlington, Irving, Carrollton – Farmers Branch, Dallas and Fort Worth to launch an educational program tailored for Hispanic students who are and were unable to go to College.

This program will be launched with scholarships provided by several local companies and institutions including Badmus Law firm who specializes in immigration law and the Dallas County Community College District who along with the Dallas Cowboys, BBVA Compass bank and several other prestigious organizations will host the program with the second annual Summit “Hispanic Marketing & Sales Megatrends 2010” which will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, October 1st at the Hackberry Creek Country Club in Las Colinas with registrations starting at 8:00 AM.

Companies such as Badmus Law Firm know that many thousands of Hispanics will never reach their full potential since they don’t know where to go for a short career such as Electrician, Stylist, Realtor, Graphic Designer and many others at a Community College that are very accessible and could change their lives dramatically – some of them in less than 2 years.

“I am one of them, after making $6 an hour working for my uncle in East Los Angeles, I finished my 2 years training as commercial artist at Los Angeles Trade Tech and I got a job at the Beverly Hilton starting at $15 an hour as assistant art director before I went for post graduate studies at Art Center College of Design. I hope the Hispanic Megatrends Scholarship Fund is the beginning of a macro program that can change the lives of so many immigrants who need to cross the invisible border to the real USA. Said Joseph Romero de Velasco, Managing Partner, Romero Group, a Hispanic marketing and advertising firm in Las Colinas.

In addition, Christopher R. Coppola will present “Communications Technologies that Will Affect the Hispanic Markets” including CelluNovelas with LC Cell Phones Mobile TV along with Rick Smith, President and CEO, NewsUSA.

Coppola started his career in the movie industry with his brother Nicholas Cage and later became a leader in new media production. Mr. Smith, president, NewsUSA, New York, a news feature placement service reaches daily millions of general market and Hispanic consumers via at least 10,000 newspapers and 6,600 radio stations nationally.

Another keynote speaker is Mr. Armando Bojorquez, whose father is the founder of Cancun and who owns the largest travel agencies network in Mexico. Bojorquez will present the “Real Truth” about Mexico’s tourism safety and travel business opportunities still unknown by many Americans. “Mexico continues to be the heaven for Americans. They are many new attractions and accommodations in Mexico’s coastlines and colonial cities at unbelievable prices. The Dallas Cowboys will tell you with a smile in their face.” Bojorquez said. In addition to his 50 year old plus agencies, he is also advisor to president Calderon.

Participation by the Metroplex Hispanic chambers of commerce and special Mexican guests from government and major companies from Mexico City and Monterrey could become a door opener to a myriad of opportunities for their members since Mexico apparently is not the same, it continues to grow with sophisticated industries, the newest highway system in the continent, a huge generation of young professionals who speak English and with strong background in computer technologies who are waiting now for the American businesses to expand in Mexico. According to the JOE Report, Mexico is going to be a major economic power within twenty five years. “The Mexican Crime Initiative is bringing results, that’s how Mexico has launched the program “The Safest Cities in the republic” such as Merida, Yucatan and Queretaro, Queretaro and many others available for Tourism and Investments.” Commented Mr. Bojorquez.

“This Summit allows the Dallas Cowboys and the attractions at Arlington to present to our distinguished Mexican and U.S. Hispanic guests and the local and Mexico media, the importance of this Sports City not just in North Texas but in the USA.” Indicated Greg Vaquera, president, Greater Arlington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce one of the sponsors for the event.

THE DALLAS COWBOYS JOIN THE HISPANIC CHAMBERS SUMMIT TO CROSS THE US - MEXICO BORDERS WITH THE SECOND HISPANIC VIP MARKETING AND SALES SEMINAR

Irving,Texas, September 07, 2009 – Top marketing executives have joined forces with Joseph Romero de Velasco, Managing Partner and Creative Director, Romero Group a Hispanic marketing international agency, the Dallas Cowboys sales & marketing operations and Hispanic chambers from the cities of Arlington, Irving, Carrollton – Farmers Branch, Dallas and Fort Worth to host the second annual Summit with the ongoing series “Hispanic Marketing & Sales Megatrends 2010” This VIP program is open to any executive interested in this topic which will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, October 1st at the Hackberry Creek Country Club in Las Colinas with registrations starting at 8:00 AM.

“The exponential growth in Metro North Texas with companies from Mexico has created the need to expand marketing communications in both sides of the border like Volaris with Southwest Airlines, Lala with Borden, Bimbo with Mrs. Baird or Kampai Restaurant group in San Pedro Garza Garcia in Monterrey and many others. This is the reason why Coppola Productions from Hollywood is bringing new products that might revolutionize the Hispanic communications industry utilizing our strong base in the Metroplex with Mexico and Latin America.”Indicated Joseph Romero de Velasco.

Mr.

From Mexico City we have Mr. The European and Asian tourists will tell you with a smile in their face and with a great suntan.” Bojorquez said. In addition to his 50 year old plus agencies, he is also advisor to president Calderon.

Another interesting topic is “The Hispanic Advertising Agency of the Future”.
“The financial renaissance in the US along with the new age in communications has forced our ad agencies to become more efficient and to become a hybrid of Sales/Creative to produce excellent metrics for our clients’ return on their investment. So, to become the agency of the future you will have to work harder for your clients -- the Free Lunch is gone.” Commented Joseph Romero.

Participation by the Metroplex chambers of commerce and special Mexican guests from government and major companies from Mexico City and Monterrey could become a door opener to a myriad of opportunities for their members since Mexico apparently is not the “same,” it continues to grow with sophisticated industries, the newest highway system in the continent, a huge generation of young professionals who speak English and with strong background in computer technologies who are waiting now for the American businesses to expand in Mexico. According to the JOE Report, Mexico is going to be a major economic power within twenty five years. The safety issue is bringing results, that’s how Mexico has launched the program “The Safest Cities in the republic” such as Merida, Yucatan and Queretaro, Queretaro.

“This Summit allows the Dallas Cowboys and the attractions at Arlington to present to our distinguished Mexican guests and the local and Mexico media the importance of this Sports City not just in North Texas but in the USA.” Commented Mr. Greg Vaquera, president, Greater Arlington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

This seminar, besides being the “launching pad” for the beginning of a long term program for Community College Scholarships is also tailored to create jobs for corporate America. “Our dogma with this program really is Jobs and Education, the magic components to achieve our American Dream as immigrants who need to cross the invisible USA border and start the real journey to our quests.” Said Romero who is having a Corporate Job Bank as part of the program providing bilingual employees from Texas and Mexico to companies assisting to the seminar. In addition, Dallas County Community College District is providing scholarships from colleges located in the Metroplex sponsored by local companies. Under this unique program, companies are encouraged to inquire about being sponsors to create scholarships for Hispanics who are or were unable to go to College.

Pictures of last Friday, please! Who took pictures at Calle Doce???

I regret that I was not able to attend as I was at a national conference, which took place in Austin, learning all about new developments for community colleges under the president's stimulus package. Most interesting that the student population that was discussed the most was the undocumented adult education college student. (Los nuestros!) I learned a lot!!
