And most of the times it tasts delicious - the only thing I hate about cooking is the cleaning up afterwards :P
Ah yes Sandra, the Garden of Eden was not without its snake; but hunger and and wonderful flavors are great motivators - they definitely have the best of me. Feel free to visit my blog. You're welcome to share recipes if you like.
I think it's the least I can do. While growing up, my father was the parent that was always lauded for his culinary skills. At the time, I was more drawn to my friends than my father's recipes. Unfortunately, good things are never infinite. My father passed on and his recipes, for the most part, passed on with him. Fortunately, my mother knew how to make the holiday pasteles, but the bread puding, flan, dulce de lechosa, and countless other recipes were buried with him. I have since taken a deep liking to cooking - God knows I 've always liked food. Anyway, it's better to write the recipes down and keep them handy. It took my father's passing for me to realize that the recipes I share with my family are not something I'm ready to abandon, but a legacy I'd like to pass on.
I need to make some blog entries, but in the meantime, I encourage you to try one of my recipes.

Oh God, yes, I need help... as you can see I'm not very good cooking. what type of food do you prefer cooking? can you recomend any good easy to make and healthy meals?
I mainly cook Puerto-Rican and Dominican meals. My cooking style is also influenced by my Harlem upbringing, so I have a soul food influence as well. While I can't say that what I cook is necessarily healthy, I can say that the types of oils and cooking methods that you use can be health conscious. For instance, meatballs can be baked instead of fried. Other must-fry foods can be fried in canola oil. And of course, vitamin enriched vegetables such as broccoli, spinich, carrots, etc., can be incorporated into your meals without sacrificing flavor. Check out my blog for a fabulous spinach flan recipe.
Thanks Alberto. I'm definitely a cookie monster so I'll be sure to try some of your recipes, particularly the brownie recipes. Be sure to visit my blog though, as it contains sweet and savory recipes.
