I am looking for a bilingual human resources professional to head the HR team in my client's Guatemala offices. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance and direction to the management and development efforts within the framework and guidelines given by senior leadership.
* Provide oversight to geographic talent acquisition strategies covering optimum manpower planning, recruitment and selection. The incoming person would specifically drive talent acquisition initiatives for senior positions and integration strategies in case of acquisitions.
2. Ensuring that the organization has the capability to regionally deploy the right person in the right place at the right time (from an immigration perspective) by defining and managing the company's immigration policy.
3. Creating a framework in terms of compensation and benefit policies, performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives to ensure that the organization has a high performance work ethic and culture
4. Designing and driving leadership development strategies across the organization
5. Strategizing for effective managerial, behavioral and voice/accent training efforts, in the geographies, to ensure that individual employees are made effective and productive
6. Spearheading HR branding and benchmarking initiatives across geographies to create positive equity with relevant stakeholders - leadership, employees, customers, prospective talent pools and society and improving service quality
7. Driving a regional technology platform to consistently deliver HR services
8. Reviewing and monitoring HR service quality against objectives and goals
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources from an accredited university (MBA preferred)
* A strong understanding of the business and the ability to draw trends and design appropriate strategies
* Relevant and strong prior experience in heading a Latin American human resources effort for a comparably sized organization
* Experience in recruiting, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, organizational development, immigration and learning and development
* Experience guiding and coaching a senior management team
* A demonstrated ability to operate at a senior level
* The experience of using appropriate methods and innovation to help build a cohesive and successful team
* The ability to motivate and lead by example in order to facilitate team goals
