I have seen a discussion which has started with regards to the above mentioned title. I would like to imform that I have been running the New York City Marathon since 1979. My Marathons were in Long Island and in New York. My personal best were in 1982 in New York 26 miles 255 yards at a time of 3:29:32 and in Long Island in 1991 with the same distance (26 miles) at 3:29:11
I also run Half Marathons throughout the year and I'm a member of the Road Runner Club of New York.
