Camp Emerson - Hispanic children

At Camp Emerson we are looking to offer places for children from a Hispanic background to our camp. About 15% of our campers come from countries outside of the United States. We have had campers from all over the world including: South Korea, Greece, Spain, Venezuela, United Kingdom, Mexico, Turkey, Russia, Japan, China, Yugoslavia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Canada and many more. We also have children from the United States

Camp Emerson is 170 acres of extensive facilities in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts. Each summer we have 200 girls and boys age 8-15. There are two 3½ week sessions running from late June - July and late July - August. There are 100 staff members for the 200 children, an excellent ratio. Our facilities and activities are very varied. Our campers choose from 50 different activities - swimming in the heated pool, water sports on 2 lakes, all athletics - team and individual, art, theater, science, wilderness and more. Children like our program because they get to choose their activities. They are encouraged to try new activities and to be active as well. Camp Emerson is a wonderful opportunity for girls and boys age 8 - 15 to practice English, learn skills, make friends.
