Texas has always been present in our job fair calendars since we begun hosting job fairs in 2006. We have been doing very successful shows in both Houston and Dallas, and we will continue to do so in the near future.
I've had the opportunity to see both Dallas and Houston during my recent trips, and I got the same feeling from both locations - the economic recession feels like it has hit Texas less. I got the same feeling when visiting a relative in San Antonio a couple weeks ago, and I confirmed my suspicions when I came across the list of "Best U.S. cities for jobs."
According to Forbes, the top 5 large metropolitan areas for job growth are all in Texas: Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Ft. Worth and Dallas. So if you're planning to relocate for more job options, Texas should be in your radar. For a complete list of cities, click here.
As a reminder, our next job fair in Texas will be in Dallas, on October 22, 2009.
Thank you for your interesting in helping our hispanic community find jobs. I live in Dallas and I am looking for a job, I am interested in science, as I graduatad as a PhD in cell biology in Mexico, but I would like to contact the Pharmaceutical industry here in Dallas to work in a research program. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a job as far as right now. I hope the NSHP website can help me find a position.
