Hispanic professional society & diversity job fairs at NSHP.org

Greetings!

If you know of a 1 bedroom apartment in Astoria (Queens) or in a nice and quiet neighborhood in Brooklyn, please let me know. Better if close to a subway station, shops and restaurants. I am not interested in paying a broker's fee (I find it unreasonable to pay $800+ for someone to find an apartment. I will consider it if it is a reasonable fee). Looking to move Nov. 15 or December 1rst, but will consider January 1rst as well. Thank you in advance!

Hi Goethy.

I sent an email to a friend I used to work with when I lived in NY. He lives in Astoria and has lots of connections. Let's see what he has to say, and if those connections are real estate now types.

Contact Samantha Silverman at Tungsten Property 212-343-7330 187 Lafayette Street, 8th Floor in Soho.
Review their site and listings at http://www.tungstenproperty.com/listings/residential/

I have moved 4 times in 5 years because of circumstance and you have to pay somebody sometime in this town. If you have the luxury of waiting then you can try http://newyork.craigslist.org/ but the scams are out there and will waste your free time valued at $200/hour. So it depends on how much you value your time in the freezing cold. Been there, done that. I finally bought a place. And yes the broker got their commission one way or another.

I live in Park Slope in Brooklyn, close to transportation (R train), losts of restaurants, lounges, and shops. I know there's a building on 4th Ave (half a block from the train station) and they have apts for rent. I don't know how much or their number but I thought you might be interested.
