The best place to go dancing to is "Mangos". You'll have a great time, the crow and scene are just great. Try it out and you'll see.

Hi,

Miami is such a melting pot that you can find pretty much whatever you want; so based on so many distinct options you first need to ask yourself what you would like to experience....there is a good website which has a venue listing and you can take a look at: www.cooljunkie.com

To get the real miami experience, try to visit any one of the clubs owned from the Opium group, these are all in South Beach and you will have a good time visiting either one of these places: Set, Opium, Prive, Mansion.

If you want a more laid back but still enjoyable time you can catch happy hour in downtown by Brickell Avenue, check out either Segafredo or Badrutts place. Blue Martini in Brickell is also a good happy hour spot.

For meals, look at zagat.com and search for restaurants in your hotel area, but in general italian is good in South Beach, particularly Fratelli da Bufala, on the corner of washington ave and 4th street, in front of China Grill. You can also catch grear restaurants on Ponce de Leon avenue in Coral Gables.

Enjoy Miami, its a melting pot and you'll find anything you look for.

Hola Ricardo,

Thanks for the information. Though I know I would love to visit South Beach area I know time wont allow it. With this conference I'm attending and the World Series I have to watch as I am from Philly.....I really was looking for a local's input to exactly where to go when...no time for research.

Thanks again

Pamela....Go Phillies

Hi Pamela.

Nice to hear from another Phillies fan. Tough crowd here in S. FL (especially living 2 miles from Marlins (Dolphin) Stadium. But not as bad as the crowd living in NY for 8 years prior to moving here.

Ricardo is a youngster, so he certainly likes South Beach. I'm in my mid 30's and married with two kids and a bit boring so I'm also probably not the right person to give social travel advice (except to say root for the Phillies). Ricardo probably has other recommendations too.

Good luck with your trip and we'll celebrate in a week or so when the Phils sweep the Rays (or Boston, if it must be).

I do hope for the Rays to go just to wear my RED in more pride in FL...........
