“Mexico, One Country Every Nation” Festival
Celebrating the cultural diversity of the countries of the world
As part of the celebrations for the Mexican Independence Bicentenary, Mexico Media Group, in co-ordination with government and private authorities, will hold the “Mexico, One Country, Every Nation” Festival in the city of León, Guanajuato on September 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26, 2010. This festival will bring together representatives of the traditions, art, culture, science, education, sport, music, theater and dance of many different countries of the world. All countries are welcome.
The event will be held at the Parque Metropolitano de León (León Metropolitan Park), one of the most important ecological reserves in central Mexico. There will be six different stages and over 1,000 pavilions hosting participating international communities.
Mexico Media Group is a company that, in addition to other projects, has been successfully promoting and organizing top-quality festivals and social and sports events since 2005. Most of these events have been held in the United States and include the 5 de Mayo Festival in Kent, Washington in 2005, 2006 and 2007, the Soccer Mania Cup in Seattle, Washington in 2005 and 2007, and the Fiesta Mexicana Festival in the summer of 2007 in Seattle, Washington.
The purpose of the “Mexico, One Country, Every Nation” festival will be to celebrate - as part of the Mexican Independence Bicentenary festivities - the cultural diversity of the international communities residing in Mexico and those that make Mexico a tourist, cultural or commercial destination. All will be invited to celebrate and showcase their identity with Mexico as the host country.
The festival will showcase many of the characteristics of each participating country - its food, music, art, culture, cinema, tourism, traditions, language, history, education, technology, science, business and opportunities for the benefit of those attending, who will be able to participate free of charge in a safe and family atmosphere.
This unique festival will use a series of fun and spectacular activities to highlight educational and ecological ideas in an international context. It will also offer a window of opportunity for international representatives to make their commercial and educational strategies known and, at the same time, establish a platform to raise awareness of respect and tolerance towards people of different physical abilities, sexual preferences, beliefs, color or nationality, as well as the environment and ecological issues.
It will be the biggest festival of its kind this year: the world's stage in one place, a unique opportunity to promote products and services from all over the world to the rest of the world, and a chance to meet and form relationships with people and companies from other countries. It will also be the perfect forum in which to teach and learn more about different international communities.
“Mexico, One Country, Every Nation” will make a contribution to promoting peace, union and respect for traditions and the cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual, artistic and musical diversity of nations from all over the world.
