The Washington State Department of Corrections has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, bilingual (Spanish & English) individual to join our Community Corrections Division as a Community Corrections Officer 2 in the Seattle Intake Unit in downtown Seattle, Washington. Note: This position may also be filled at the Community Corrections Officer 1 (in-training) capacity.
The Community Corrections Division (formerly known as probation and
parole) supervises an active caseload of offenders in communities and work release facilities across Washington State. The Division's 1,430 employees promote reintegration and public safety by providing guidance, support and program opportunities for all offenders returning to the community, holding offenders accountable to their imposed conditions as they resume life within the community, and collaborating and supporting community resources and parties with a vested interest in successful offender transition into the community.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the initial risk/needs assessment,
classification, and supervision of offenders in the community, establishing the basis for the offenders' initial supervision plans.

Requirements:
Spanish and English language fluency (Must pass the Department Spanish Interpreters/Translators Test)
Bachelor’s degree
Valid driver’s license
One year of case management experience – (not required at the level 1 [in-training] capacity)
